If you need to shower , they got one. Their breakfast is so , so and is expensive $15! The people are very knowledgeable of trails etc!!! The wooden architecture is brilliant , and good to see Tourists from the world over not just the domestic herd.

The AMC is a horrible money grubbing organization that hates Thru Hikers and the Appalachian Trail and they go out of their way to make life more difficult for the real hikers. If your a yuppie who pretends their a hiker, you'll enjoy them.
My family has been coming here since the 40's as our reunion site. Alot has changed since then, some good, some bad. Alot of the employees have worked here for years and seem to really love their jobs and really want to make every day a rememberable experience. Their food and bread are all homemade and has been on the decline for the past couple years but has received a new chef who seems to have spun things around and is quickly improving each dining. The rooms are well setup and are always clean to perfection soon arrival and the lodge offers a beautiful library, warm comfortable lounge rooms with refrigeration and microwaves. They supply free wifi, hiking/educational activities. Trails are always maintained to no litter and new mud walks and bridges.
